Guitarist, composer, educator Steven Kirby (“a guitarist of rippling technique and a poetic mind”- Downbeat Magazine) is known for performing exciting, melodic, expressive jazz as well being fluent in other contemporary styles including Rock, Brazilian, Blues as well as various classical genres. On February 23rd from 230- 430 pm at the W Gallery, join Steven Kirby accompanied by Ed Lucie on bass and Mike Connors on drums and enjoy a mix of original compositions, arrangements of standard tunes, and maybe even a jazz treatment of a pop tune. Concert will be preceded by an art exhibition reception at 130 which is open to the public.
