The Reading Terminal Market (RTM) will host a delicious and family-friendly day to celebrate Philadelphia’s rich ice cream heritage on Saturday, July 29 with the first-ever Ice Cream Scoop festival. The event will bring together local independent ice cream artisans and Reading Terminal merchants for a day of ice cream specials, demonstrations, contests and games, and arts and crafts.
Franklin Fountain, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Lil’ Pop Shop, Zsa’s Ice Cream, and more will be on site at the Market serving up select flavors and treats. Guests will also enjoy over 15 ice cream specials from various RTM merchants including chocolate funnel cake topped with ice cream, chocolate dipped ice cream sandwiches, waffles and ice cream, ice cream whoopee pies, ice cream floats, and much more.
There will be fun for all ages at The Ice Cream Scoop including an ice cream eating contest, photo booth, ice cream shuffleboard, and a variety of arts and crafts. Families are invited to make their own sprinkles necklace, ice cream magnets, enjoy coloring and get their faces painted.
