Join Boston Women in Finance for lunch and learn about the new Massachusetts Pay Equity Act which is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2018. We will discuss the new provisions of our state's equal pay law, including what employers can and cannot do when hiring, and potential affirmative defense to liability if the employer has conducted a self-evaluation of its pay practices.
You should attend if you are an employee and want to know how to capitalize on your rights as an employee. You will also hear about salary negotiation strategies, tips and tools when negotiating salaries. Employers, HR professionals, managers and recruiters should also join us and learn about how to comply with the new provisions, and the pay equity audit, including how and when to do it.
