Soprano Pretty Yende and tenor Javier Camarena deliver one ravishing vocal display after another—including the show-stopping tenor aria “Ah! Mes amis ... Pour mon âme,” with its nine high Cs—in Laurent Pelly’s brilliant production. Enrique Mazzola conducts a stellar comic cast, which also features Oscar and Tony Award–nominated actress Kathleen Turner in the non-singing role of the Duchess of Krakenthorp.
