In what promises to be a Wagnerian event for the ages, soprano Christine Goerke sings Brünnhilde, one of the most commanding roles in the dramatic-soprano repertoire. Bass-baritone Greer Grimsley is the power-hungry lord of the gods, Wotan, alongside tenor Stuart Skelton and soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek as Siegmund and Sieglinde. Philippe Jordan conducts Robert Lepage’s staging—a marvel of modern stage technology.
