In the Spring of 2014 trumpet player and bandleader, Sam Dechenne, formed a traditional Jazz quartet to participate in the growing re-vitalization effort of Boston's Downtown Crossing district. Since then The Late Risers (a.k.a Sweet Sounds) has brought traditional 1920-1940s-era Jazz, original songs and fun covers to the streets and corners of downtown Boston. Over the years they have integrated with people who live, work, travel, and go to school in this bustling metropolitan neighborhood and have become a beloved institution.


Democracy Brewing is hosting the ensemble on Wednesday, June 19th, for a night of music and fun.


Bring your drinking and singing chops out for a night to remember with one of downtown Boston's favorite bands!
