Sampling residences in Southwest Chestnut Hill built by Italian artisans, this tour includes homes and a business built by Italians for themselves, ending with a “vanished” Italian neighborhood in Pastorius Park. Meet at the corner of Seminole and West Willow Grove Avenues. Park along streets or at St. Martin’s Station.
DISCOVERING CHESTNUT HILL
This popular series of guided tours and lectures invites you to explore the architecture, history, and natural beauty of our urban village. Offered each month, rotating topics include Pastorius Park, trees in the Andorra Natural Area, mid-century modern architecture, properties protected by historic designation and easement, and more.
The Spring 2018 series, The Italian Artisans who Built Chestnut Hill, features three walking tours led by historian David Contosta and a lecture.
