Celebrate the lives of women for Women’s History Month at The Genki Spark’s annual Making Women’s History community event, on Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd at Simmons College in Boston. This exciting family friendly event will include performance art, spoken word, and multimedia presentations from our multi-generational pan-Asian women’s performance troupe including tried and true favorite songs 'Renshu', 'Long, Long, Ago', and ‘Matsuri' as well as brand new compositions, new arrangements, and participatory pieces. Refreshments provided. This event is co-sponsored by The Asian Student Association at Simmons College.

Mission: Founded in 2010, The Genki Spark is a multi-generational pan-Asian women’s art
and advocacy organization that utilizes the art of Japanese taiko drumming, personal stories, and creativity to develop leadership, build community, and advocate respect for all. The Genki Spark is a program of the Asian American Resource Workshop, a nonprofit charitable 501(c)3 organization in the Boston area.
