Tonights theme is "Her Story: Stories About Women"


The Full Moon Story Slam gathers friends together to share true stories from their lives and to take part in a competition based on the art of storytelling. (But it's more of a fun competition than a fierce one!)


Story slammers sign up on the night of the slam (or online before hand if they choose) to tell a 5-minute short story on the evening's theme


A panel of judges listens to each story along with the audience and they give a score that puts dual emphasis on content and performance. It encourages storytellers to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. Sometimes they are sad stories, sometimes they are funny stories but they are always entertaining.


Winners take home the coveted t-shirt and get to advance to our end of the year super slam!


If you don't want to compete but still want to tell a story there are opportunities to tell one-minute stories too!
