The Wreck Shop Movement is embarking on it's third year of bringing the Hip Hop community together through the time honored tradition of the cypher. Emcees, Singers, Beatboxers, Musicians and DeeJays coming together to share their gifts and build with each other while planting roots in a supportive scene in the Bean.


Each month a featured music producer is given the chance to showcase their compositions while emcees exercise their gift of gab, either written or freestyle rhymes. In 2014, the cypher has secured The Democracy Center in Harvard Square as our venue, allowing us the space to host the Freedom Cypher and Solidified Music mobile sound lab (Produced and engineered by Tommy ForGe of Solidified Music & Wreck Shop), an open studio environment for cypher participants to try out new ideas and engage in collaborations that may never have happened outside this creative zone. We are also using the space to showcase local merchants, visual artists and broadcasters. Join us for a unique experience in Hip Hop!
