A brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal - or at least that is what these five teens are stereotyped as by society in John Hughes' defining 80s film of teen life.


Brat Pack superstars Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Molly Ringwald are all trapped in Saturday detention with their sadistic high school principal. "You have exactly eight hours and fifty-four minutes to think about why you're here. You may not talk, you will not move from these seats. Any questions?". Gulp. But these kids with different backgrounds find that their day in hell reveals that they have more in common than they expected
