The Black Studies Reading Room is a monthly conversation on black lit, art, and ideas. Its purpose is to make more space for the creative and communal work of black study in and around Boston. Join us in July to discuss 1919, award-winning poet Eve L. Ewing's exploration of the Chicago Race Riot of 1919, the most intense of the riots comprising the nation's Red Summer.

The BSRR is coordinated by Jovonna Jones, PhD candidate in African & African American Studies at Harvard University.
