A sensory exploration of artisan cheese & spiced accompaniments you can craft at home for a festive and palate-pleasing holiday season.

'Tis the season for exquisite appetizers! In this sensory-focused class, you’ll experience the art of pairing delectable cheeses with spiced accompaniments and see how simple and creative hosting can be. This class will be co-taught by Kimi Ceridon of Life, Love, Cheese and our lead recipe developer at Curio Spice, Susan Turner. For the cheese tasting, Kimi will focus on the products of women cheesemakers here in the Northeast.

Kimi and Susan will guide you through an exploration of the flavors, aromas, and textures of artisan cheeses and show you how to pair them with simple-to-make, beautifully spiced accompaniments (demonstrations included!). They’ll share expert techniques for understanding flavor and thinking about pairings. You’ll learn that an elegant holiday cheese board can be easy to make — without breaking the bank!

Each participant will enjoy an in-class tasting and will go home with a complimentary spice blend along with the recipes demonstrated in class (plus some bonus recipes). You may also bring home cheeses if you choose to place a pre-order here on eventbrite.

Class price: $85 per person TICKET ONLY, $115 per person TICKET PLUS CHEESE BUNDLE

Date/Time: November 9th, 6-7:30pm

Ages:12 and up.

About your instructors:

Kimi Ceridon, the founder of Life. Love. Cheese., received her MSME from MIT in 2001. She spent over a decade in tech before saying "Goodbye" to the cubicle and going to culinary school. She has a MLA in Gastronomy and an Artisan Cheese Certificate from BU. She's also trained in cheesemaking at Sterling College alongside Jasper Hill and now she is an artisan cheese instructor at BU. Her company, Life. Love. Cheese. focuses on highlighting American cheese makers and artisans with a special emphasis on the Northeast. Susan Turner, Curio Spice Lead Recipe Developer, Graphics & Education Manager heads our recipe development program, creating and testing delicious dishes — and feeding our team many, many cookies to get the ratios just right. She also coordinates our class offerings and directs our graphics program. Susan has been cooking since childhood and grew up in a family who gardened, cooked, canned, baked, and made things. She’s fussy about tomatoes and crazy about Kampot red long pepper.
