Fort Point hotspot hosts duo of events on November 28 & 29
Thanksgiving, that magical time of year when you come together to show gratitude and appreciation for family, friends... and food. This year, City Tap House will dig into the start of the holiday season with a pair of events:
****Thanksgiving Day - November 28, 2-10pm:****
Thanksgiving is all about indulging so grab your stretchy pants and get ready to feast. For traditionalists, there's the Turkey Dinner of oven roasted turkey breast, butternut squash, stuffing, charred broccoli and a housemade turkey gravy ($17). The kitchen also will dish out twists with classic ingredients with a Turkey Day Calzone filled with turkey, stuffing, corn and mashed potatoes inside hand-stretched dough that's finished with turkey gravy and a cranberry dipping sauce ($17) as well as a Sweet Potato Casserole baked to perfection with roasted sweet potatoes, brown sugar and marshmallows ($12). If you're one of "those people" who hate turkey, fear not; City Tap's full a la carte menu also will be available.
****Black Friday Brunch - November 29, 11am-3pm:****
In the days of Amazon and Rakuten, who actually risks their lives to brave this day of shopping disaster and disappointment? Stay safe from the trampling and cat-fights by retreating to City Tap for Friday brunch. In addition to serving up its signature brunch menu, there will be appropriately-themed Black Mimosas ($5 each) laced with activated charcoal to preemptively battle your hangover. Plus, just like with stores, the earlier you arrive the more you save: from 11am-12pm, take 20% off your food orders; from 12-1pm, 15%; and from 1-3pm, 10%.
