In the Jim Crow south of 1949, Henry, an African American man, and his family struggle with a horrific incident, involving Henry's nephew. Henry wants to save his nephew. Harriet, his wife, encourages him to pray; and his young daughter Emma, who longs to be a reporter like Lois Lane, asks her Mama and Daddy hard questions. Twenty years after the incident, a haunted Emma returns home seeking to dispel her ghosts and asking questions about an incident no one wants to talk about.
There will be snacks and a chance to offer feedback to playwright.
