Be a Super Hero for Endangered Species!


Calling all conservation heroes -- Meet your favorite Super Heroes and learn how you can be a Super Hero for endangered species! Guests will also have the opportunity to meet and take photos with MARVEL’s own Super Heroes, Iron Man and Spider-Man. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes.


Please note: Iron Man and Spider-Man will be available for photos in half-hour increments beginning at 10:15 a.m.

Presentation: A Day in the Life of a Park Ranger
11:00 a.m., Franklin Farm Meeting Barn
In this family-friendly talk, learn how park ranger Timothy Boyle works to save rhinos and other animals from poachers. A former zookeeper, Boyle recently returned from South Africa where he spent three months training and patrolling with local rangers who have dedicated their lives to protecting animals at risk. In his talk, you'll learn about:
-Rhino facts (types of rhino, where they live, what they eat, their behavior, etc.)
-A Day in the Life of a Park Ranger, including a coloring activity that mirrors the actual sheet rangers fill out when they spot a rhino on patrol
-The importance of rhinos culturally, economically, and within the ecosystem
-What you can do to help rhinos


This event is included with regular Zoo admisison. General admission rates apply:
