Sunset hike Mount Osceola via Greeley Pond trail

Bag the two Osceolas with sunset views on this short out and back hike. Since Tripoli rd. is closed in the winter, we will approach East Osceola from the north via the Greeley Pond trail. The total length of this hike is 7.6 miles and should take 5-6 hours to complete. Mt. Osceola has an elevation of 4315' and East Osceola has an elevation of 4156'. Although this is a relatively easy to moderate hike, there is a steep section that will likely still be icy (the Chimney). There is a bypass trail if it's too icy and will definitely be taking the bypass trail on the descent as it gets dark out. Wear full winter clothing (non-cotton layers, rain/wind shell, insulated boots, warm hat & gloves, etc.) and potential snowshoes depending on trail conditions. Headlamps will also be mandatory. If the weather doesn't look good, this hike will be rescheduled.
