To celebrate our name change (and to accommodate social distancing), we have reimagined our annual summer party. Join us for AccessHealth MA’s Summer Party on Boston Harbor! Experience Boston from a whole new perspective onboard the Boston Elite private charter. Enjoy brunch, incredible views and connect with friends old and new as we raise money for AccessHealth MA.
Since 1989, we have done extraordinary work together to lead the fight against HIV and other infectious diseases and to make Massachusetts a healthier and more equitable place for all its residents. Our research and the medications we have helped people obtain have been groundbreaking—and we’ve changed countless lives for the better. Your support continues to ensure we realize our vision of making Massachusetts a healthier, more equitable place for all residents.
As you know, the HIV medical and treatment landscape has changed enormously in the past 32 years (since the inception of CRI in 1989) with about 40 HIV drugs now, up from just a few drugs then. So too have the expectations of our supporters and the people that we serve, and our changes address this as well. As HIV treatment has become better and better, thanks in part to CRI’s research contributions – we have grown and shifted to help our clients access these many life-saving medications. We are also helping people at risk for HIV get bio-medical interventions to prevent getting HIV; gain access to our tuberculosis drug assistance program and assist our clients in securing and paying for health insurance. To compliment this expansion, we have chosen a new name that better reflects our work. CRI now be known as AccessHealth MA! While our name has changed, our programs and the lifesaving work we do has not changed.
