Now Listen Here is celebrating 3 great years at the Home.stead bakery & cafe and everyone is invited to the party! It will be another great night of storytelling and music when the best damn show in town returns to Dorchester on Friday, February 21.
Our theme for the night is "Roasted" and all interested storytellers are invited to throw their name in the jug. Prepare your own true, 5-minute story on the theme, and sign up at the door. Stories must be told without notes from your own experience.
Our featured storyteller will be Gina James. Gina is a die-hard storyteller and can be found directing development and operations at PRX in Cambridge, MA. She is both a MOTH story slam winner and producer as well as a writer and published author.
Our special musical guest this month is Allison Burik. Allison is a saxophonist, bass clarinetist, and composer based in Cambridge. She performs throughout the Boston area in ensembles such as Umbrella Pine, Tandem Saint, Julee Cruise Director, Hairbrush, and her own quintet.
