Aaron will introduce the audience to the Rail Park, Phase 1 opening this spring, and the eventual 3-mile park running along the north edge of Center City. He will set the historical context for the site and give an overview of related projects in the US and internationally. He will also offer a brief history of the organization, Friends of the Rail Park, and the wide range of partnerships needed to create a beautiful celebration of our past and future.

Aaron Goldblatt is a Partner with Metcalfe Architecture & Design, focusing on museum partnerships and services. Before joining Alan Metcalfe in 2002, Aaron served on the senior staff at Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum®, the Academy of Natural Sciences, and the Wagner Free Institute of Science. In each of those positions he was able to explore the tension and synergy between learning and play. He does both now at Metcalfe, in addition to mentoring, leading, and volunteering with community groups, including as a member of Friends of the Rail Park. Aaron holds a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts.

This special evening will include a light supper and refreshments.

Tickets are $35 for Friends of Wyck members and $45 for non-members. An additional discount will be available for those who join as members at the time of purchase.
