Somerville Songwriter Sessions: Terry Kitchen, Ksenia Mack, Ginger Ibex

The Somerville Songwriter Sessions at the Armory Cafe present a live concert with award-winning singer/songwriter Terry Kitchen, singer/songwriter Ksenia Mack (of the Porch Party Mamas) and folk/pop duo Ginger Ibex. The concert begins at 7:30 PM and there is a suggested donation of $15 at the door. Please note attendees must present proof of vaccination and be masked except when eating or drinking. The cafe will be open with its full menu of soups, sandwiches, pastries and beverages. Free parking behind the building and on Highland Ave.

Terry Kitchen creates songs that are portraits of ordinary people and emotions, captured with extraordinary compassion, honesty and humor. He's been performing on folk stages across the country since the 1990s, releasing a dozen albums filled with literate musical storytelling, supple guitar playing and distinctive, intimate vocals. Boston-based singer/songwriter Ksenia Mack performs with blend of fiery and sultry vocals while her unique style of guitar playing tells a deeper truth. Folk/pop duo Ginger Ibex have been performing their haunting melodies on the Boston music scene for more than a decade. Songwriter/vocalist/keyboardist Sharon Crumrine's influences include everything from Beethoven to the Beatles, the Romantic Classical composers, Impressionistic composers, Middle Eastern modes, Tango and contemporary rock. Violist/songwriter Betty Widerski's eclectic background (classical gone Irish punk/rock/improv) and abilites on string & other instruments give Ginger Ibex a powerful yet lyrical sound.
