Protests have been breaking out in many cities and university campuses across China this week in response to the building fire tragedy in Urumqi. Protesters are calling for an end to CCP's extreme inhumane zero-Covid policy (e.g. unable to leave apartment unit, unable to go outside, unable to buy food, unable to visit hospitals, unable to rescue victims in a building fire, waiting in line 1 hour+ EVERYDAY for required testing) and even an end to Xi Jinping's regime. The sheer number of participating cities and universities in this wave of protests have not been seen since 1989, after the June 4th Tiananmen Square Massacre where protesting students and citizens were murdered by CCP's army. Freedom of expression and protest are unimaginable luxuries in Mainland China. Even holding a piece of white paper in public can get you in trouble with the police. Please join us in supporting the brave Chinese protesting for their basic freedom and rights and show that they are not alone.
