Beyond the bright marquees and dim speakeasy, there is a timeless place where bouncy vaudeville meets soulful sounds and fresh comedy meets the glint of rhinestones. Smoke & Shadows is the Rockwell’s monthly burlesque and variety show that defies decade and genre, each time offering a new mix of performers from near and far.


Our next edition on May 7 will be positively atmospheric, featuring cosmic soundscapes, dancing colors, fresh and lively comedy, and alluring burlesque. Join these multi-faceted artists from near and far for a night of astounding art never to be repeated:

*Otherworldly beats from violinist, singer, and electronic composer Mei Ohara
*Dry wit and storytelling from comedian Chris Post
*A painted masterpiece unfolding before your eyes by face & body paint artist Shelby Meyerhoff
*Expert art modeling and impossibly graceful movement from Jolie LaVie
*The usual shenanigans from burlesque goofball and host Elsa Riot
