South Street Gallery’s annual Holiday Show will again showcase the work of many local and regional artists. The focus of this show is to offer small paintings at prices that are effectively priced for Holiday presents. The opening reception will take place on Friday evening, December 5, from 6 to 9 pm while the Christmas In The Square festivities take place downtown Hingham.
Jack Hobbs, the owner of South Street Gallery, says that the Holiday Shows offer collectors of art an opportunity to purchase original work at an affordable price. “The rationale behind displaying the smaller paintings is that they are affordable and offer collectors the chance to add some names to their collection that they might not otherwise be able to do.”
All displayed paintings will be only 8”x10”. The show will feature paintings by invited artists, each submitting only one or two paintings. In all there will be around 50 paintings or more to choose from.
