Skip the Small Talk at Aeronaut Brewing Company [02/19/20]

Do you wish you could have more of the kinds of conversations you have late at night where for some reason, you feel safe talking about the things you actually care about?

Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and spend your Wednesday evening at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.

We'll be offering cards with "big talk" conversational questions on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge. Want more info? **Close to the beginning of the event, we will organize a PIZZA DELIVERY from Caesar's Pizza and Subs for anyone who wants to order pizza at the event. They have very generously offered us an awesome group discount, so it'll come down to about $1.50 per slice of cheese and $2.00 per slice of pepperoni! Bring cash accordingly! We are not allowed to be directly involved in the ordering process due to city-wide food regulations, but we will help bring together anyone who is interested in ordering food and have an STST volunteer help out. You are also invited to bring your own lunch or eat beforehand or afterward-- no pressure, everyone will be doing their own thing! You are also welcome to order from anyplace you like on your own. Alcohol will be available for sale onsite!**

Since this is at a brewery, the event is 21+ and you'll need to present a valid photo ID. Aeronaut Brewing Company is wheelchair accessible.

Check-in for this event will begin around 5:45 pm. Please do your best to arrive at or before 6:00 pm if you haven't been to one of these before so you don't miss the intro, but feel free to come late if you need to-- you'll still be able to participate just fine! If you've come to a Skip the Small Talk before and would rather skip the intro, feel free to come at 6:20 pm.
