One of my favorite things to do in Boston when it drops below 32*F is to go skating on the frozen pond in Boston Public Garden (across the street from the Frog Pond which is in Boston Common).

If you don't have your own skates, you can rent them for the day for $25 @ Beacon Hill Skate Shop.

You'll want to call them at (617) 482-7400 the day before to make your reservation in case a lot of people will be renting on Sunday.

If you're a beginner, or even have never skated before, I will be there to teach you.

The next several days should be cold enough for the pond to freeze solid and be safe to skate on, but I'll check and confirm on Saturday night.

I've skated on this pond several times before (including this past December) and it's quite fun. There's usually a fair number people there when it freezes - walking or skating on the ice, but I haven't seen it get too crowded to stay safe in terms of COVID. That being said, we should all wear masks while skating.
