Silhouette Lounge Does “Allston Christmas” with Dollar ‘Dogs, Festive Sips

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Allston Christmas! The ritual, made famous for college students ditching their apartment lease and furniture on the curb, has millennial dumpster divers scoring big for their new digs. After claiming another person’s trash as treasure, head over to the Silhouette Lounge for a “Christmas in September” celebration. The Sil will be decked out in Yuletide décor complete with an inflatable Santa dancing in the wind atop the roof.  

While jamming out to Christmas jams (cue: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” on repeat), scarf down The Sil’s signature “Sil Dogs” – all-beef franks nestled in their buns with the option to top them with ketchup, mustard and relish – for only $1* per ‘dog between 4-6pm. Since you’re not competing in a glizzy-guzzling contest, ditch the water and channel your inner Clark or Ellen Griswold with festive drink specials: The Grinch, a shot of peppermint RumChata and crème de menthe ($6); Trash Cans, a 16oz PBR or ‘Gansett paired with a shot of Old Thompson blended whiskey ($10); and Storrowed, a twist on a Ranch Water with Dulce Vida tequila, lime juice and a pick of lime, pineapple, jalapeño or grapefruit soda water ($10).

Rock around the Christmas tree in your signature ugly sweater that usually only makes its annual appearance in December and be sure not to sleep on the budget-friendly pitchers, pool, pinball and – of course – free popcorn and candy canes!
