Piers Park, with stunning views of downtown Boston, is one of the most beautiful parks in the City. Kick off the hot summer with our Seaport Festival, full of fun, games, and music for all ages, featuring East Boston legend, Smokin' Joe and the Henchmen. The harbor breeze will keep you cool while you munch on a watermelon slice, laugh in the green grass, and listen to the music of summer. Piers Park is also the best place to watch the tall ships while they are in town. FREE. Fully Accessible. Great music never dies - It becomes a reality when Smokin' Joe and The Henchmen come to the stage. Smokin' Joe has become a legendary performer on the East Coast. They gave rebirth to the ever popular Henchmen Band, who originated in the 60's - playing the Rock/Soul songs of the 60's and 70's like no one else. The result is a combination of eight multi-talented dynamic musicians playing and singing the rock/soul songs of the 60's and 70's. Smokin' Joe gives new energy to soul music artists such as Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding and James Brown to name a few.
