December 5 marks the 86th anniversary of Repeal Day, a holiday dear to City Tap House, the beer-and-whiskey paradise in Fort Point. As Franklin D. Roosevelt famously stated in 1933, “What America needs now is a drink.” So drink, we will.
To celebrate the reversal of Prohibition, City Tap will into a 1930s-themed watering hole complete with era-outfitted staff, photo stations and décor. While sipping on Old Forester cocktail specials, take in the sounds of the Jen Hoyt Duo.
From the kitchen, nosh on whiskey-laced culinary specials like the Old Forester Whiskey Marinated Steak Tips with prime beef, mushrooms, onions, peppers, roasted fingerling potatoes and charred broccoli ($29) and Old Forester Stuffed Mushrooms topped with a whiskey-compound butter ($16).
