Speak for the trees, whose mission is to increase the health and size of the urban tree canopy, will be hosting a tree giveaway at Blair parking lot. Seedlings have already been claimed but there are still wildflower seedings that will be given out to the community. This event will have a few vendors stationed in the parking lot and will try to keep the number of people under 100, but families are free to come by and receive a wildflower seed and meet other collaborators that speak for the trees has been working with all week. We want to try and educate the community about our urban forest and enjoy some festivities at the event such as a art event with chalk and drawing your own tree, collectively building a colorful tree canopy on the ground.
