The Wollaston Hill Neighborhood Association's summer-long Saturdays in the Park series returns on July 27, at Safford Park, 166 Beale Street in the Wollaston section of Quincy.
The family-friendly festival features the best in local beer poured by chef Avi Shemtov’s Tapped Beer Truck, Greater Boston’s first mobile craft beer bar. Tapped will pour selections from the area's favorite local breweries.
The festival takes place noon to 6 p.m. each Saturday through August 3. The event is free with cash bar and food. This weeks program includes:
12 - 1 p.m. - Mat pilates with Pamela Araujo
12 - 6 p.m. - Tapped Beer Truck craft beer garden
12 - 6 p.m. - Aaah-Roma wood-fired pizza truck
12 - 6 p.m. - The Pearl Hot Dog Stand
3 - 6 p.m. - Live music by John Mueth
Food vendors and entertainment change week to week including various food trucks. Safford Park recently enjoyed a $143,000 renovation, creating the perfect space for community gatherings.
Saturdays in the Park will be the area’s first “larger-scale event to build community,” event organizer Walter Hubley told the Patriot Ledger.
