Ryan Shaw 5k

On Saturday, April 20th 2019, my fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, is hosting the 3rd Annual Ryan Shaw Memorial 5K Run in remembrance of our brother Ryan Scott Shaw, who unexpectedly passed away from bacterial meningitis two years ago. The event, which will include vendor stands, a 50/50 raffle, a live music performance, and more, is being held at the DCR Artesani Park along the Charles River in Boston, MA. All net proceeds will benefit The Ryan Shaw Foundation, a nonprofit foundation established by the Shaw Family to give back to the communities and organizations that had an impact in Ryan's life. For 2019, The Ryan Shaw Foundation will again donate ALL race proceeds to the following three organizations: (1) Mustard Seed Communities, (2) The Haven Project, and (3) the Ryan Shaw '15 Entrepreneurial Education Program at St. John's Prep. My fraternity hopes to preserve Ryan’s legacy through this 5K by raising funds for the charitable organizations about which he was most passionate.
