RKelly, #MeToo And The Music Industry

Join WBUR and The Washington Post at Laugh Boston on Monday, June 4, for a special live event for Edge of Fame, a podcast examining the life that happens before, behind and beyond the spotlight.

For decades, R&B superstar R. Kelly (“I Believe I Can Fly”) has been dogged by allegations that he sexually abused teenagers, some as young as 14. Edge of Fame host Geoff Edgers (Washington Post National Arts Reporter) asks why #MeToo hasn’t caught up with the music industry. He’ll take you behind the scenes of his investigation of R. Kelly and the record company figures who enabled him over that time. Joining Edgers will be:
