Anthony D’Aries is the author of The Language of Men: A Memoir (Hudson Whitman/Excelsior College Press, 2012), which received the PEN/New England Discovery Award and was named Memoir of the Year by ForeWord Magazine. He has taught literacy and creative writing in the Massachusetts Department of Corrections and is currently Assistant Professor of English and Director of the Writing Program at Regis College. www.anthonydaries.com
Alexis Paige’s work appears or is forthcoming in Fourth Genre, The Rumpus, Pithead Chapel, Ragazine, 14 Hills, and on Brevity Magazine’s blog. Honors include the New Millennium Writings Nonfiction price, a Pushcart Prize nomination, and a feature on “Freshly Pressed.” Twice named a top-ten finalist in the Glamour Magazine essay contest, Paige holds an MA in poetry from San Francisco State University, and is currently pursuing an MFA in nonfiction from the Stonecoast creative writing program.
Barbara P. Greenbaum is a fiction writer and creative writing teacher at a magnet arts high school in Willimantic, CT. She has a B.A. in English from the University of Hartford, an M.A. in secondary education from St. Joseph College, and an M.F.A. from the University of Southern Maine. She has studied with Michael White, Suzanne Strempek Shea, Brad Barkley, and Jack Driscoll. In addition to teaching fiction writing, poetry, advanced script writing, mythology, and flash fiction, she is also involved in land conservation and recently served as a member of the Connecticut Greenways Council. In 2006, she was awarded second place for fiction in the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA) annual writing contest. In 2012, she was awarded a Teaching Arts Fellowship by the Surdna Foundation. She writes using the pen name B.P. Greenbaum.
Her poetry and short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in The Alembic, Eclectica, Forge, Hog River Review, Pearl, Inscape, Verdad, The Willow, Prick of the Spindle, Dos Passos Review and Underwood Review. She writes using the pen name B.P. Greenbaum.
Mihku Paul is a Maliseet Poet, Writer and Visual Artist. She holds a BA in Human Development and Communication and an MFA in Creative Writing from Stonecoast. She is presently teaching creative writing at the Maine Women Writers Collection at the University of New England. Her first collection of poetry, 20th Century PowWow Playland, was published in 2012 by Greenfield Review Press.
Elizabeth Searle is the author of four books of fiction, most recently Girl Held in Home. She is librettist of Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera (produced on both coasts and showcased in NYC in 2013), a show that’s drawn national media attention. She’s taught at Stonecoast for 10 years.
