RESISTIOKE! Sing together, resist fear, welcome all - Resistioke! is live-band, group karaoke with a twist: We'll be singing (with you!) pop tunes that build community and respond to our politically divisive times. Songs in English and Spanish. Our host is the Urbano Project, and we will be playing inside of Pablo Helguera's new work, Librería Donceles, a socially engaged art project consisting of an itinerant bookstore of more than 10,000 used books in Spanish. Buy a book from Librería Donceles or make a donation to support Urbano's work fostering participatory arts for personal transformation, community cohesion, and social change!
