Take a spin around Bow Market in Somerville, MA for an official Record Store Day 2019 affair put on by Vinyl Index.


Since 2008, Record Store Day has brought together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores across the world to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store just like Somerville's own vinyl index. On April 13th, 2019 starting at 9AM the crates at vinyl index will be stuffed with 100's of limited RSD titles plus newly added quality used records for you to devour.


As part of RSD, vinyl index co-owner DJ 7L will be joined by his group CZARFACE to debut their newest RSD exclusive release, “Double Dose of Danger”, a 20 page giant-sized comic book & LP set (https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/10971). They will be signing autographs and the first 100 customers that purchase the album will get a FREE, exclusive CZARFACE slipmat, only available on RSD at vinyl index! Boston Hip Hop legend Edo.G will also be in the building to sign copies of the Get On Down re-issue of his 1991 classic "Life Of A Kid In The Ghetto" (https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/11102) dropping on RSD.


To add to the celebration vinyl index has teamed up with Variety Bar (who are just two doors down) where starting at 11AM you can prescribe yourself a dose of a signature CZARFACE cocktail in a commemorative color changing cup courtesy of Tequila Tromba! For this Record Store Day event you will be able to take your delicious drinks outside to enjoy throughout the courtyard of Bow Market where the entire Soulelujah DJ line-up will be blessing your ears with the finest in Soul, Funk and R&B 45's from 12PM-8PM.


And while taking a break from digging records at vinyl index and the dance floor with Souelujah check out screen-print masters Antidesigns on site in the downstairs lobby, where they will be live printing exclusive tees & tote bags for the event that will be available for purchase.


Don't miss out on all the limited vinyl, exclusive event gear, DJ sets, drinks, food, giveaways (like a chance to win a FREE turntable from U-Turn Audio!), and shopping that will make for a fun-packed day for all! As always, all the fine Bow Market restaurants and shops will be open normal hours too so be sure to make your rounds to see what other vinyl inspired goods you can find like a full music themed empanada menu from Buenas! Not to mention this will also be the grand opening of our new next door neighbor, Union Sound (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1392634457/union-sound), a boutique music shop, production studio & tech experience by local producer Billy Loman.
