Loved your prom? Re-PROM! Didn’t love your prom? Do it YOUR way this time! Dress in prom gear from whatever era appeals to you, past, present-- or future! Cosplays welcome too. No need to bring a date, just bring yourself and swoop through that door in your finery like the magical dancer you are. Tiaras welcome, kick off your shoes at the door and let the music take you!
Prizes will be awarded for creative interpretations of prom outfits, whether historical, romantic, sci fi, group coordinated, gender bending, or surprisingly adapted for a particular kind of dance. On that topic, a short lesson in the sultry and sensuous skill of Tango will begin the night from 6:30 to 7:30pm, then free-style dancing until 10:30pm with DJ’s Chad and Robin.
Dance Freedom is a place where you can finally JUST DANCE!! No smoke, no booze, no pressure, no street shoes --just plenty of space to move creatively, dance alone or with partners, up to you, and a mix of music from every genre, era, continent and dance style for you to explore!
