The Emerson Department of Writing, Literature and Publishing invites you to the WLP Reading Series on Wednesday, April 16th, featuring award-winning author Alice McDermott. There will be a Q&A with McDermott at 4:00 pm in the Charles Beard Room, located in the Little Building at 80 Boylston Street. A reading of McDermott's work will follow at 6:00 pm in the Bill Bordy Theater at 216 Tremont Street.
Alice McDermott is the author of seven novels, the latest of which is entitled Someone. She has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize three times and has won both the National Book Award and American Book Award. McDermott's work has also been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Washington Post. She currently teaches at Johns Hopkins University.
