Join Kate for a two hour workshop designed to help you feel confident continuing your yoga practice throughout pregnancy. We will discuss the benefits of practicing during pregnancy and offer an overview of appropriate modifications for the first, second and third trimesters. We will lead students through a vinyasa practice that focuses on poses for relieving common aches and pains of pregnancy. We will finish it off with a sweet, extra long savasana.
This workshop is designed for prenatal students of all levels and is also appropriate for teachers (and teachers in training) who are interested in learning more about working with pregnant students.
As an active practitioner and yoga teacher during both of her pregnancies, Kate found that her yoga practice supported her physically and emotionally before, during and after her pregnancy. As a prenatal teacher, she strives to create a safe space for her students to relax, stretch and breathe, while at the same time connecting with their strength and their little ones.
In addition to completing a 200 hour and a 300 hour yoga teacher training program, Kate completed a prenatal yoga teacher training program while she was pregnant with her second child. Kate has had a regular yoga practice since 2003. Kate also teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga at Life Time.
