After a successful Poetry Potluck on Zoom beta test last August, Anita and Tristan are delighted to announce the next Poetry Potluck on Zoom on Sunday, March 14, 7:30-9 pm. Join us in the gallery view as we take it in turns to read a poem that moves us, that we love, that speaks to this moment in time. The potluck component is the serendipity that reading to each other brings, how our offerings come together to create a perfect whole. At this point in time, we want to encourage you to bring a poem that cultivates joy as we turn back towards the light (March 14 is Daylight Savings TIme!)


Tristan will log in early, about 7:15p. If you'd like to read a poem, please send her the title and author in the chat. You can do this at any point during the event, but you will need to do this before you share your poem, so she can keep track of them. She always sends around a list of what was read afterwards, and that was challenging last time on Zoom! We ask that the selections are relatively short - something like 25-30 lines, or less than a printed page. In the past, people have shared old favorites, new discoveries, and their own work, published or unpublished.


We usually bring snacks, so please have your own snack handy! Unless you are reading a poem, we ask that you stay muted. You can wave or use the hand clapping icon to show your appreciation. Unless your video makes your connection unstable, it will be good to see each other in the Zoom world.
