On Sunday, August 26 from 4-6pm, Allison Adair, Suzanne Matson, and Wyn Cooper will be reading selections of their poetry in the beautiful outdoor setting of The Somerville Community Growing Center.

The Growing Center is a 1/4 acre urban garden oasis in Union Square! We are happy to welcome the talented writers and below is more information about each of them!

Allison Adair’s work has appeared in the Boston Review, Mid-American Review and other journals; her hypertext projects on The Rumpus and Electric Literature websites. Winner of the 2014 Fineline Competition, she teaches literature and writing at Boston College.

Suzanne Matson’s fourth novel, Ultraviolet, is forthcoming from Catapult. Her books of poems are Durable Goods (1993) and Sea Level (1990), published by Alice James Books. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Boston Globe, The American Poetry Review, and elsewhere. A 2012 NEA fellow in fiction, she teaches at Boston College.

Wyn Cooper has published five books of poetry, the most recent is Mars Poetica, just out from White Pine Press. His poems, stories, essays, and reviews have appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, Crazyhorse and various other publications. In 1993, “Fun,” a poem from his first book, was turned into Sheryl Crow’s Grammy-winning song “All I Wanna Do.” He edits manuscripts for aspiring and established authors.
