The Post-Meridian Radio Players present two classic tales of intrigue and derring-do in one afternoon for their Spring Adventure Spectacular in Davis Square! Spies, trains, and sword fights meet the Golden Age of Radio as actors read from scripts while Foley effects are performed live on stage. Retro candies and sodas will be available for purchase.
In "The Mysterious Traveler", Maurice Leblanc's gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, has announced his latest target: the cargo of a Rouen-bound train! But Lupin is not the only one on board with an agenda. Other parties have set their sights on his goal, and he can't be sure if the woman he shares his train car will be on his side...or theirs.
In "The Scarlet Pimpernel", a mysterious Englishman has been saving French aristocrats condemned to the guillotine during the Reign of Terror. With her brother's life in the balance, Marguerite St. Just must enter the world of espionage to help uncover the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel. But when Marguerite discovers that someone near and dear to her heart is the elusive Pimpernel, she must risk everything to come to his rescue before Citizen Chauvelin's net can encircle him!
