The Third Annual Plein Air Competition brings fine art out of the gallery and onto the cobblestone curbs of Germantown Avenue. Over 50 artists capture the lush landscapes of Chestnut Hill 20 years after being named Philadelphia’s Garden District. Live music, arts and crafts, and face painting all showcase the lively culture and community of Chestnut Hill. On Saturday, June 10, gorgeous drawings and paintings will be crafted right before your eyes as artists compete for cash prizes and booth space in Chestnut Hill’s Fall Arts Festival in October. This event celebrates the spectacular outdoor spaces and growing arts culture in Philadelphia’s Garden District. A vibrant start to summer and a great way get to know your community, the Plein Air Competition is a fun event for all. The rain date for this event is Sunday, June 11.
