Pink Martini is turning 25 and invites fans to come celebrate the milestone on its Silver Jubilee tour this fall! Led by the gorgeous vocals of China Forbes, Portland’s “little orchestra” will be performing songs from throughout its nine studio album career. Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world – crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop – bandleader and pianist Thomas Lauderdale founded Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education, and parks. A quarter century later, Pink Martini is still creating beautiful music and still touring the world, singing in 25 languages at opera houses, concert halls, film festivals, museums, and fashion shows.
