Just in time for Valentine's Day, this event presents an exceedingly rare chance to hear two of the great classical musicians in America in an intimate performance of Franz Schubert's heart-wrenching vocal masterwork, Die schöne Müllerin. This legendary song cycle tells the tale of a melancholiac wanderer's journey through the woods, revealing some of the most gorgeous, evocative love songs ever dreamed up. We presented world-famous pianist and scholar Joshua Rifkin last year on the night of the Super Bowl and filled the taproom to capacity, and we're so excited to welcome him back this season along with his long-time collaborator, tenor Frank Kelley.
