@party 2018 Demoparty / Computer Arts Festival
@party returns to Artisan's Asylum this June! @party is a "demoparty", a computer arts festival primarily focused on creative coding of realtime computer graphics programs called "demos", but also featuring still computer graphics, music, and hardware hacking. There will be seminars, live performances, and showings of demos on real hardware so that attendees can see how they actually behave on high end, obscure, or oldschool systems. The primary attractions at any demoparty, however, are the competitions, or "compos" for short. @party's compos are a comparatively laid back opportunity to showcase new digital work.
Compos this year include:
Demo Compos: Demo, Intro, Oldschool Demo
Music Compos: Executable Music, Oldschool Music, Freestyle Computer Music
Still Graphics Compos: Executable Graphics, Oldschool Graphics, Freestyle Graphics
Wild Compos: Freestyle Interactive, "Real Wild" (Anything in the spirit of the demoscene that doesn't fit anywhere else).

@party is a program of Boston Cyberarts and will run continuously in MPR1 from 5pm on Friday June 8th through 5pm on Sunday June 10th. Artisan's Asylum members can come and go as they please but non-members must register on the @party website for $20 per person.
