In recent years, Cape Cod has become the summer home to a growing population of white sharks. However, North Atlantic white sharks are among the least studied in the world. Dr. Greg Skomal, marine biologist/researcher at the Atlantic White Stark Conservancy and the state’s leading expert on great white sharks, is changing that.
Wednesday evening's "The Search for Great Whites" Pub Talk hosted by Paint Nite Labs will include discussion with Dr. Skomal around the ongoing research Skomal and his team are doing to better understand these ancient predators and why sightings are at an all time high. The event will take place at 7 p.m. at Trident Booksellers in the Back Bay and will offer guests ample opportunity to discuss Great Whites with like-minded shark enthusiasts and Dr. Skomal.
