Do you like music? Do you like awesome craft beer? How about listening to amazing new music while drinking amazing craft beer?
Comprised of four concerts a year, the Original Gravity Concert Series features the music of one local composer and pairs that music with beer brewed by a local brewery.
This first concert is co-hosted by Keith Kirchoff and Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville, MA. Featuring the music of composer Peter Van Zandt Lane, the program – which is in the brewery space – will be paired with various offerings from the Aeronaut team.

Keith Kirchoff (Concert Curator) is a pianist, composer, and the Vice President of the Society for Electro Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS). Specializing on works which combine interactive electronics with solo piano, his Electro-Acoustic Piano tour has been presented in six countries. Keith is also an accomplished homebrewer and beer connoisseur, having travelled extensively in the US and abroad in search of the perfect pint.
Michael Duncan Smith (Event Director) is an arts administrator with over a decade of experience working with non-profit arts and cultural institutions. He is also an avid homebrewer and has taught beer workshops and classes at a number of venues with a focus on beer styles and history. His current passion is uncovering the history of beer during America's colonial period.
Peter Van Zandt Lane(composer) is a composer of instrumental and electroacoustic music, with a widely performed catalog of works for ensembles of all types and sizes. Tapping into a visceral sense of rhythm and momentum, the drama in his music is derived from the tension between the organic and the mechanical. He is also an active homebrewer who is currently experimenting with adding Spindler confections to his beer.
Aeronaut Brewing Company is a craft brewery and urban farmhouse under one roof. Their team of brewers and scientists collaborate with New England farmers and food makers to drive the invention of craft beers and spur a renaissance of local victuals and industrial revitalization.
