One-hour workshops in Zoom to authentically replicate a song in its entirety using the ukulele, thus a combination of plucking and strumming, hence the name. The workshop is offered on Wednesdays at 10 am or 5:15 pm EDT. Also Thursdays 4:30 pm EDT.
Drop-in, to register/pay up to 2 hours before start of the course or else $135 for the entire series (7 sessions, starting 7/15).
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Based in Boston, Massachusetts but currently self-isolating in the rolling hills of Kent, Anne Ku has moved all her face-to-face group classes online through ZOOM virtual sessions. Just completed Anne's online six Saturdays Uke Bootcamp via Zoom. She's a wonderful teacher with positive energy. The Zoom setting worked well with lots of opportunity for interaction and feedback. Recommended!
Anne’s class is inclusive and encouraging. In addition to the technique, she offers terrific tricks for upping our style, jazzing it up, and makes all of it approachable, even for beginners.
I found online instruction to be helpful- especially with the materials and recordings being emailed after. The one thing I didn’t anticipate was finding a community of fellow uke players which has been fun!
