Focusing on the Speicher Massacire and Mosul Museum Destruction in Iraq.


Our goal is to invite guest to our place of gathering and worship to speak about ISIS. We intend to first publicly condemn the so called Islamic State’s actions against Muslims, minorities, holy places and historical artifacts. Our overall desire and goal is to speak up against these disgusting crimes. In the past year or so we have organized only one protest to speak out. Other than this protest the community has been fairly silent. Second, the organizers of this event believe that this would be a good platform for members of our community to speak about their thoughts, emotions, experiences, or personal messages in regards to this very difficult topic. Third, we want to create connections and networking between people of our community and other communities. Hopefully, this will be the first of many joint events. The event is open to all! We will have a panel of speakers who will be discussing this specific topic and the overall political and social outcomes of the past months.
